Eatfluence™ (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information across our marketplace connecting Restaurants and Participants through performance-based Challenges.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Name, email, phone number, restaurant name, and basic profile details.
• Payment Data: Stripe-processed payment details, payout information, and tax IDs (we never store full card numbers).
• Challenge Data: Milestone goals, engagement metrics, post URLs, and timestamps for verification.
• Technical Data: Browser type, IP address, and usage analytics to improve platform performance.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To operate and verify Challenge participation and reward distribution.
• To manage billing, escrow, and refunds via Stripe.
• To communicate with users about Challenges, payments, and updates.
• To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and ensure compliance with FTC and tax laws.

4. Data Sharing

• Stripe: All transactions and identity checks are handled through Stripe Connect (PCI DSS Level 1).
• Restaurants & Participants: Limited data (e.g., post links and metrics) is shared only for verification and payout.
• Legal Authorities: Information may be shared when required by law or to investigate misuse or fraud.

5. Marketplace Fee Transparency

Eatfluence deducts a 10% service fee from Restaurant budgets and a 5% verification fee from Participant rewards. These are displayed before any transaction is finalized.

6. Performance Verification

We verify milestone completion using analytics APIs or manual checks. Only the engagement data necessary to confirm milestone accuracy is collected. By participating, users consent to limited data use for verification.

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and analytics tools to understand user behavior and improve site performance. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.

8. Data Retention

We retain transaction and tax-related data for seven years to comply with IRS and financial regulations. Non-identifiable analytics data may be kept for trend analysis.

9. Your Rights

• Access or request deletion of your personal data at any time.
• Opt out of marketing communications through unsubscribe links or by emailing us.
• Request a copy of the data we hold under applicable U.S. or state privacy laws.

10. Security

Eatfluence uses SSL encryption, secure servers, and Stripe’s PCI-compliant infrastructure to protect data. While we maintain high standards, no system is completely immune from breaches.

11. Minors

Eatfluence is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from minors.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website and indicated by the “Effective Date.” Continued use of Eatfluence after changes constitutes acceptance.
